Cooking Experience at Colline di Luce
At Colline di Luce, we invite you to experience a journey through the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, where vine-covered ciglioni, quiet country roads, and the authentic charm of rural life create the perfect setting for a truly unforgettable experience.
This is not simply a cooking class, but an immersion into Italian life, guided by renowned cookbook author and culinary expert Luciana Sampogna.
Meet Your Instructor: Luciana Sampogna
Raised in a Venetian family deeply rooted in tradition, Luciana grew up surrounded by the authentic rhythms of home cooking. Her earliest memories are connected to food as an act of care and sharing — her mother stirring polenta under the summer sun, nourishing both family and tradition with quiet dedication.
Her culinary journey has taken her around the world. In 1998 she founded her first cooking school in Auckland, New Zealand, working with international clients including the America’s Cup–winning team Alinghi. She later trained chefs aboard the luxury yacht Vava, owned by Swiss entrepreneur Ernesto Bertarelli.
In 2004 she founded Cucina Italiana in Sydney, which has become one of Australia’s most respected Italian cooking schools.
Luciana is also the author of several cookbooks, including Light of Lucia (Murdoch Books). She collaborated on a cookbook for Vogue Entertaining + Travel and later published Veneto in Cucina with SimeBooks in Italy.
Classically trained in Bologna under the legendary Sorelle Simili, Margherita and Valeria — pioneers of Italian cooking schools alongside Marcella Hazan — Luciana continues to preserve and share the rich traditions of Italian regional cuisine.
Today, having returned to the Prosecco Hills, she shares the soul of Venetian cooking with guests from around the world.

The Menu
Life moves at a different pace here, and every experience is tailored to you.
The experience begins with a glass of prosecco and a selection of seasonal antipasti, followed by the preparation of fresh handmade pasta. You may choose between filled pasta, such as spinach and ricotta tortelli, or classic tagliatelle. Sauces and any dietary requirements will be discussed and adapted together.
Dessert is also your choice — from the original tiramisù from Treviso, which was born in this very region, to other treats such as Ricotta and Rocket ( arugula) Cake or the fragrant Orange Cake.
Luciana loves to listen to what inspires you and what your senses are drawn to, creating an experience that makes your time at Colline di Luce truly memorable.
From the first glass of prosecco to the final taste shared at the table, everything is guided by the seasons, the place, and the joy of being together.
